About Dr. Rohan Jagat Chaudhary

Dr RJ Chaudhary is a Consultant Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Surgeon in Institute of Liver Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine, Medanta – the Medicity, Gurugram. He started his journey in the field of Liver Transplantation in the year 2014 and since then, he is involved in >1500 Liver Transplant and >700 complex hepatobiliary surgeries. As a Consultant, he has performed >700 Liver transplantation surgeries including Living Donor Liver Transplantation (LDLT), Deceased Donor Liver Transplantation (DDLT) in both Adult and Paediatric age groups.

Medanta Liver Institute is a first of its kind dedicated Institute in Asia and one of the few in the world, which combines state-of the art facilities for Living donor, Cadaveric donor, paediatric and adult liver transplantation along with a large research programme for stem cell and liver cell transplantation. Dr. RJ Chaudhary is an integral part of the Medanta Liver Transplant team, which currently performs 22-25 live donor liver transplants every month, one of the highest in the country, with 95% success – results which are at par with the world’s best centres. Dr Rohan is an exceptional person who is readily always available for any advice/consultation. His advice is prompt and service unparalleled & attends to all problems instantly. Even though I am (daughter) far away from my dad, due to my pre-occupations with my official work, I have never felt the distance with Dr. Rohan who is available almost any time of the day for watsapp consultation even in odd timings.
The post-transplant recovery phase is a critical phase which requires regular follow ups and the need for regular visits to hospitals for check-ups could be avoided as almost all issues are satisfactorily addressed though whatsapp by Dr Rohan.
